Is it wrong I love tape?

I do. I love tapes. Scotch tape, packing tape, fancy tape...and then I found this: Japanese masking tape in the delightful hues that was just made for me. Check out happy tape.

Valentines

EEMSL has some valentine ideas that I like. I would prefer to have found out from my subscription but whatevs. She always has her magazines in the store before I get mine delivered.

Heart Shape Pot Holders
I made some of these a few years ago with my mom. They were really cool. I like the idea of reinventing them for valentines. I also love the idea of giving breads for valentines. I am tired of sweets. Christmas wears out my interest in sugar for a long ass time. But a lovely savory bread (bacon, cheddar, apple) sounds divine! Although I admit, last year, I really wanted to make the cookies below. I have the stuff (stamps and all). Perhaps....Rosie and I are going to New York City for Valentine's Day this year so there may not be much time for baking, we shall see.

Inspired

I am totally feeling craft inspiration; no inspiration to work my day job, but whatevs. It happens from time to time. I found a few new crafty blogs in my search for wedding ideas. I think in a post modern recession wedding, my primary focus is cost effectiveness followed by theme. I have no less than 10 different themes marinating in me wee noggin all contingent upon a date and place. Rosie and I are looking at venues on Friday. I am getting more excited about the party planning aspect than I thought I would. My Monday Night Knitters (MNKs) are so talented in a variety of crafts that I hope they will agree to work on craftaculars through the year getting stuff done. The sweat shoppers in Texas used to work for food and alcohol...hope I can get that arrangement up here.

A collaborative project

The international fiber collaborative wants knitters, crocheters and all other crafters to make leaves for a tree that will become part of a school's welcome area in Alabama. You have to make a leave out of anything you can think of that measures 5 inches at the widest point and 7 inches long. Send it in with the application available on the website by March 15th.
