Coraline Tiny Knitting
I have heard rumor of the woman who made the clothes for Coraline. HOLY POOP! Go to the website into Coraline's room and open the top drawer of the white dresser/vanity. A film will show the woman who knits these clothes with threads the size of human hair.
Cick here. UNBELIEVABLE! The second drawer has a pattern for the star sweater or download the pdf here.

Boston
The first time I saw Matte's work, I was in a really groovy gallery in Portsmouth, NH. After a delightfully retro breakfast at the Friendly Toast, we meandered in and I was in love with his work in a second. It reminds me (in a very sweet, nostalgic way) of Ed Emberley's Drawing Book: Make a World, which is how I learned to draw as a child. His books are still available. We bought one for Rosie's nephew this year for his birthday. Makes me want to go find them again. There's a Halloween book that is especially awesome.

Bowling for Cupcakes
We went candle-pin bowling for the first time. Very difficult. In honor of the birthday girl, we made bowling cupcakes from Hello Cupcake. Let me say these were very hard. VERY hard.
